I am not one of the people doing the $20 challenge, but as I understand it, the idea is to start with $20 and make it grow -- by any money-saving, money-building plan you come up with -- and track it. Then you post your updates in the $20 Challenge category.
Some of the things I do. Clip coupons and use my Ingles advantage card. anything I save goes to the challenge. I do surveys for pinecone and nfomysurvey and save that money. I have a chase reward card that pays me $50 every time I get 5000 points. any extra checks that come in, unexpected, go to the challenge.
I pay myself $2 for every day I use no gas; $1 every time the stock market goes up, $1 every time the braves win, $1 everytime I walk a mile, etc.
You chose how you want to save the money and add it to the challenge. Some people sell on ebay, some have garage sales. Anything you want to do. I have saved over $10,000 this year in the challenge.
Thanks for the welcome. I do save but I save $5 dollars everyday. I'm going to try to do this but its going to be hard because were I work my hours have gone down due to the fact that its summertime. I work at Madison Square Garden. I;m going to probably sell bottle water to make some extra change.
